‘interACTION…are undoubtedly leaders in delivering inclusive dance sessions for deafblind adults. They are experts in creating supportive environments in which adults with complex disabilities are able to contribute their own creativity and celebrate every achievement...
Through a personalised and holistic approach their sessions provide freedom and purpose through dance’
Stephanie Tyrell, National Arts Manager at Sense
Co-founded in 2013 by Rebecca Randall and Suzanne Grubham, interACTION began as a short series of weekly dance and movement sessions for adults with complex communication needs in partnership with the charity Sense.
Over the years, Rebecca and Suzanne have refined their approach as facilitators and developed the foundations of a constantly evolving practice focussing on group attunement, individual communication and self-expression through movement

Somewhere between a performance and a workshop, this experience was created by, with and for people with complex communication needs.
The interACTION team recently developed Suspended Motion into a screen dance film, directed by Sima Gonsai. This pilot project resulted in three different short films, exploring making screen dance accessible with audio description, captioning and subpac vests. Each film was co-created by and for people with complex communication needs, to enable new audiences to experience the work. The film was awarded two laurels at Screen.dance, Scotland’s Screen Dance Festival
